Postdoctoral Research Associate
Boulder, CO
I earned my Ph.D in Astronomy in 2017 from the University of Porto (Portugal), where I also completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Astronomy. As an undergraduate student, I did research in magneto-hydrodynamics, topological defects, and helioseismology. The research work developed during the Ph.D was mainly focused on the relation between magnetic activity and stellar oscillation properties, including both theoretical and observational studies. The host institutions during the Ph.D were Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences (Porto, Portugal) and School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Birmingham (UK). My main research interests are in helio- and asteroseismology, stellar rotation, and magnetic activity.
