Quintin Schiller

Affiliate Research Scientist
Fort Atkinson, WI
Quintin joined SSI as an Affiliate Researcher in 2019. Prior to coming to SSI, he received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2015, then was a NASA Postdoctoral Fellow at Goddard Space Flight Center until 2018, when he was converted to Civil Service. His research focuses on space-based plasma physics, specifically wave-particle interactions. Quintin's continuing interests are the acceleration, loss, and transport of electrons in Earth's radiation belts, as well as developing the hardware to best make measurements of individual energetic particles in planetary magnetospheres or interplanetary space. Quintin currently performs research part-time while he develops in-house particle accelerators for medical radioisotope companies.
