Vadim's research interests are in theoretical and computational plasma physics with applications to space, laboratory, and astrophysical plasmas. He received his PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and subsequently held postdoctoral positions at the University of Iowa and Los Alamos National Laboratory. After a period of time with Space Plasma Physics Group at UCSD and later SciberQuest, Inc, Vadim joined SSI in 2014. His current research projects concern such diverse issues as physics of magnetic reconnection, energy dissipation in collisionless plasma turbulence, interaction of high-energy beams with plasma, and behavior of pickup ions in heliosphere. Vadim lives in Atlanta, GA.
