Niloufar Nowrouzi is a space physics researcher working on magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling and ionospheric ion outflow during geomagnetically active periods. She received her PhD in space physics from the University of New Hampshire in 2022 and worked as a postdoctoral researcher and Research Scientist at Boston University (2022-2025).
Her research focuses on data calibration and analysis to investigate how solar wind driving and storm dynamics regulate ionospheric plasma outflow, and how this mass loading influences magnetospheric processes. She has worked with datasets from missions including FAST/TEAMS, DMSP, Cluster, SuperDARN, MMS, GOES, and OMNI, and contributed to the recalibration of the FAST (TEAMS) particle dataset.
