Bill Farrell

Bill is a space plasma physicist with research interests in planetary magnetospheric and auroral processes, the space environment at our Moon, the solar wind, and planetary atmospheric electricity. He received his PhD at the University of Iowa and then spent over 32 years in federal service at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center where he was involved in over 30 NASA or DoD projects at various levels. He was the PI of the NASA Lunar Science Institute DREAM Center for Space Environments involving over 25 researchers from 12 institutions collectively investigating the plasma, volatiles, and exosphere at the Moon. His SSI research is conducted in Columbia Maryland.
