Dr. Xueyi Wang is an Affiliate Senior Research Scientist at the Space Science Institute (SSI). Prior to joining SSI, he had a 25-year career in the Physics Department at Auburn University, where he rose through the ranks from Assistant Research Professor, Research professor to Principal Research Scientist. Dr. Wang's research centers on space plasma physics, nonlinear wave-particle interactions, kinetic instabilities, and plasma dynamics in magnetospheric and planetary environments. He is the primary developer and maintainer of ANGIE3D, GEFI, and GCPIC (-M) models. He earned his Ph.D. in Space Physics from the Center for Space Science and Applied Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He maintains deep collaborative research ties across major space science institutions globally.
